Winter blahs...

How do you get past the winter blahs?
We make bird feeders and go sledding. Any other ideas?

Yesterday when a sentence in my 8th graders English mentioned strawberries, we talked about buying some frozen strawberries and rasberries and making some freezer jelly. Just the thought of making strawberry jelly makes life seem better. I even thought about making it a tradition .

Ooooh, that sounds good!! A little bit of summer in the winter. That would cheer up anyone! Thanks for the idea.

Second idea...take the kids to an indoor water park for a day away
Third idea go to a (indoor) botanical garden or butterfly garden. Do a paper scavenger hunt. Ie find the oldest plant, the tallest plant..etc.
