One of the coolest things that we learn while homeschooling is that EVERYTHING becomes an educational experience. I just had this realization rear up -again- and hit me in the face.This past weekend, we had a Cub Scout campout - and it was a BLAST!! Even more fun than the actual camping, was knowing that I could go home and write up a report on what Jack had accomplished, and be able to file it in his school folder - as well as his scouting book. Is it just me, or does it seem that as soon as you get a problem solved, it rears its ugly head and messes with you again? I could have sworn that we had finally gotten over the hump with him fighting me over doing his journal, and today the battle returned. He sat there and steadfastly refused to complete his journal assignment as I asked him to. To me, this becomes a matter of disobedience and not just hating an assignment. Makes me nuts. Is it just me, or are Mondays the WORST possible thing to happen during the week? gah I hate Monday's. Sunday's are never our day of rest, so Monday's end up becoming a day of recovery ... but no one else on the planet gets that. Its very rare that I don't start my Monday without the phone ringing or insistent emails or a kid running around all crazy-like.
Today was no different. I had to be at the bank at 8am to make a deposit because a withdrawal was made over the weekend

I don't do a whole lot of blogging, but I think I'll start one on here, just because we can now, and I think it would be a lot of fun to have a blog just dedicated to my homeschooled world. There are so many things that happen during a typical day ... it might be nice to keep track of them all in one place. Who knows? It might even help someone else along the way. If nothing else, it will give you guys something else to laugh at me about.
